FAQ

What is the Run of the Mill?

The Run of the Mill is a family friendly event focused on a 5k (3.1 mile) race in Mill Creek Washington. Established in 2006, it is the longest standing annual event in Mill Creek. All race proceeds are donated directly to community charity partners, and High School sports programs. We have donated over $300k to local charities!

The Run of the Mill Event is great for families who want to run/walk/jog and enjoy kid’s activities. Participants can enjoy prize giveaways, community event booths, music and awards!

When is the race?

Saturday, July 23rd, 2022.

The race starts at 9:00 AM. Registration packet pick-up starts at 7:15 AM and ends at 8:45 AM

Where is the ROTM?

Every year Mill Creek’s ROTM event takes place in the Mill Creek Town Center, located in beautiful Mill Creek, WA. Mill Creek is about 20 miles north of Seattle, and is bordered by Bothell and Everett. The address for the ROTM is: 15418 Main Street, Mill Creek WA 98012

Parking

FREE parking will be in the Town Center and at Heatherwood Middle School, located a few of blocks away

Are baby joggers and strollers allowed?

Baby Strollers and Joggers are allowed, but must line up in the back of the race lineup at the start line. This is intentional, so competitive or elite runners can start in the front. NO EXCEPTIONS.

What about inline skate, rollerblades, bikes, skateboards, etc?

Sorry not allowed, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Are dogs allowed?

Well behaved dog’s on a short leash are allowed. Please start towards the back of the race pack at the starting line.

Keep dogs always on a leash, and pick up/scoop after your pet. Trash receptacles are located in the Town Center.

Will Gear Check be available the day of race?

Yes we will have Gear Check this year. Location to be determined day of. See the information booth with questions on this.

AmCap is proud to present the Run of the Mill 5k. With the generous support of sponsors, we are able to cover our overhead costs which allows us to donate 100% of race entry fees to local charities.

Sponsors give financially to participate in this event, so please visit our sponsor’s websites (linked from their logos on this website) and their sponsor booths on race day. What are the age groups for the ROTM event and what prizes are being awarded?

We award medals to the top 5 male and female finishers. Ribbons will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age group category as follows:
